Opportunities for nature experiences for older kids.
Sheldrake offers programs for teens and tweens, including both extracurricular activities and community-service opportunities. In the spring, we host a senior internship in support of the Mamaroneck school district, and teens often approach us for Scout projects and other self-directed initiatives. Parties for this age group are also available, with themes including making a terrarium or scented soap, nature scavenger hunts, and more. Visit our Parties page and tell us what interests you.
New for 2026-27 is Wild in the Woods, a weekly after-school program for grades 6-8 that’s FREE to attend, thanks to a generous grant from the Junior League of Westchester on the Sound. Signup is by week.
