Various environmental factors have led to a surge in invasive species at the Larchmont Reservoir/James G. Johnson, Jr. Conservancy, where Sheldrake is situated. Under the auspices of a grant from Con Edison, Sheldrake is conducting a land survey and initiating site restoration. Help is needed! Teens and adults are invited to join us in this effort by signing up for one or more sessions focused on invasive species removal. A traditional trail cleanup of litter may also be tackled. Community-service hours (and the pride that comes from volunteering) are available!

FREE, but advance registration is required, below (drop-ins cannot be accommodated). Please bring your own work gloves, if you have. Meet at the potting shed. Closer to the event date, an email will be sent to you with additional information.

Date: Tuesdays – September 8-29 – choose your day/time when you complete the registration form

Time: 3:30-5:00 pm (participants needn’t commit to the full 90 minutes, unless desired; a 30-minute block is helpful)

Ages: 13 and up (children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult)

Advance registration required. This form must be completed by a parent or legal guardian of any minor who wishes to participate. Space is limited so register today!

A note about enrollment: Some Sheldrake programs sell out, while others might under-enroll. We encourage you to invite a friend(s) to help us meet our minimum.
