Drawing Meditations in Nature

Connect with nature in this restorative series, appropriate for all levels of experience and ability. Through both mindfulness and drawing exercises, participants are guided to observe our natural environment with fresh eyes and to experience the world around us with renewed awe. The program is co-led by Susan Girling, an artist-naturalist, and Katy Romita, a mindfulness-meditation instructor.

Each 90-minute session includes:

  • Meditation and mindfulness exercises
  • Guided exercises for observing and drawing from nature
  • Tea and conversation
  • Meaningful time in nature

This unique class allows participants to reap the many combined health benefits of meditation, creative expression, community connection, and time outdoors in nature. Drawing supplies and meditation seats are provided to participants for use during class.
