Vulture Culture: The Coolest, Grossest, Weirdest Birds

What kinds of critters do you think of when you think Halloween? Spiders? Owls? What about… vultures! Often misunderstood, these amazing birds have all kinds of abilities that make them super cool, super gross, and super important to the natural environment. Come learn about the vultures you can find around us, as well as the special vulture that holds the title of the largest bird in North America!

Date: Sunday, October 23

Time: 5:00-6:00 pm

For ages: Families (best suited for ages 5 and up)

Format: This program is not a drop-off. All children must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. The program is held primarily outdoors. Our indoor facility may also be utilized.

Family rate (up to 5 people): $15 for members; $20 for nonmembers

Cancellation Policy: In the event that Sheldrake should cancel this program, a refund will be issued if scheduling a makeup is not feasible. Participant cancellation requires a minimum of one week’s notice (in writing to scheduling@sheldrakecenter.org), and a 25% cancellation fee will be charged.
