Get outside with a Sheldrake naturalist and other families, as you discover nature with your little one. This class is designed to expose children to the joys of nature at a young age towards the goal of cultivating a life-long love of the natural world. Adventures for wee ones might include studying animal tracks, noticing budding trees, listening for birdsong, crafting, or storytime. There’s no shortage of educational fun on Sheldrake’s 60 acres!

Dates: Thursdays – March 27-May 8 (6 weeks; class doesn’t meet on 4/17)

Times: 10:00-11:00 am

Ages: 2 years old, with an actively participating adult caregiver (children must meet age requirements, and all participants, including chaperones, must sign a waiver)

Format: This program will primarily be conducted outdoors in nature. Portions of the time may be spent indoors.

Fee: Free, thanks to a generous grant from Con Edison
