Keep kids active and outdoors with weekly adventures at Sheldrake! Children aged 3-5 get to explore Sheldrake’s 60 acres, learning about its inhabitants, making observations about the natural world, and participating in fun nature activities, and noticing the effects of the season on wildlife. There’s much to see and do throughout the winter!
Our Forest Friends:
- hone their scientific observation skills with weekly STEM fun
- learn about birds, insects, seeds, trees, and other natural wonders
- foster respect for the natural world and their budding role as environmental stewards
- have fun with nature games, stories, and other activities
Dates: Wednesdays – January 17-March 13 (7 sessions; class doesn’t meet on 2/21 or 3/6)
Time: 3:45-4:45 pm
For ages: 3-5 (drop-off program)
Format: This program will be conducted both outdoors and indoors. We’ll rely on our indoor classroom as the sun sets.
Fee: $155 for members, $175 for nonmembers
Cancellation Policy: In the event that Sheldrake should cancel a program, either a makeup will be scheduled or a refund will be issued. Participant cancellation requires a minimum of one week’s notice (in writing to scheduling@sheldrakecenter.org), and a 25% cancellation fee will be charged. No refunds will be issued under other circumstances.
