Keep kids active and outdoors all winter with weekly midday adventures at Sheldrake! Children aged 3-5 get to explore Sheldrake’s 60 acres, learning about its inhabitants, making observations about the natural world, and participating in fun nature activities. There’s much to see and do in winter!
Our Forest Friends:
- hone their scientific observation skills with weekly STEM fun
- learn about birds, insects, seeds, trees, and other natural wonders
- foster respect for the natural world and their budding role as environmental stewards
- spot over-wintering birds, learn about hibernation and other winter survival skills, and more along the trails of a 60-acre conservancy
- have fun with nature games and other activities
Dates: Mondays – January 10-March 28 (no class 1/17 or 2/21) (10 sessions)
Time: 1:00-2:00 pm
For ages: 3-5 (drop-off program)
Fee: $220 for members, $250 for non-members
Cancellation Policy: In the event that Sheldrake should cancel a program, either a makeup will be scheduled or a refund will be issued. Participant cancellation requires a minimum of one week’s notice (in writing to scheduling@sheldrakecenter.org), and a 25% cancellation fee will be charged. No refunds will be issued under other circumstances.
