Animal Babies

With spring comes warming temperatures, longer days…and babies! Join a Sheldrake naturalist to learn about babies in nature. Sheldrake’s multiple habitats are home to a variety of species. We’ll roam our trails to learn about the animal families that live at Sheldrake!

Part of the Sheldrake Second Saturday Series of free family programs, made possible by a generous grant from Con Edison. This series will skip April due to the holiday schedule and Spring Break; the final installment for the 2024-25 season is scheduled for May 10.

Date: Saturday, May 10

Times: 10:00-11:00 am

Ages: Best suited for ages 5 and up. Children must be accompanied by an actively participating adult.

Format: This program will be conducted entirely outdoors.

Fee: FREE, thanks to the generous support of Con Edison

NOTES: There will be no advance registration for this program. Please leave your pets at home. This program is not a drop-off; children must be supervised at all times. Upon arrival, participants will be required to sign a standard liability waiver. Please park either at the trailhead at 685 Weaver St or in the lot past the potting shed via the long driveway at 687 Weaver St.

Cancellation Policy: Please check this website before heading over to confirm there is no change to the event plans. This program proceeds in inclement weather unless hazardous conditions occur.
