Cornucopia Crafting
Monday, November 14th

On Superintendents’ Conference Day, have your child join Sheldrake to create a festive centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table. Children will use materials that they forage from our woods and other embellishments to create a cornucopia to take home or gift.

Giving Tuesday
‘Tis the giving season! GivingTuesday—celebrated this year on Tuesday, November 29—is a global movement promoting “radical generosity.”
Keep your contributions local by investing in Sheldrake’s community services. In addition to our commitment to nature education, Sheldrake’s charitable contributions include:
- Stewardship of our 60 acres, including trail maintenance, clean-ups, and site enhancements
- Planting, growing, and harvesting vegetables in our Giving Garden for donation to the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force
- Bilingual Nature Club events with our bilingual naturalist, offered free of charge to area families
- Scout badge quests offered for a nominal fee

HOLIDAY HOURS
Sheldrake’s office will be closed from Saturday, December 24, through Sunday, January 1. Our grounds will remain open and free to enter from dawn to dusk.
