Create a habitat to take home with you and nurture for years to come. We’ll provide the bowl, dirt, gravel, pebbles, mosses, plants, and even some seasonal embellishments. Makes a nice gift! Allow approximately 30 minutes to complete the project and take a self-guided trail walk to round out your visit. Suitable for kids and adults.

Date: Sunday, December 7

Time: 10:00 am–12:00 pm. Note: The activity takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. Participants can arrive any time between 10:00 and 11:30 am and may supplement their time at Sheldrake by exploring our grounds independently.

Ages: Best suited for ages 5 through adult

Format: This is not a drop-off program; children must be accompanied by an actively participating adult. The event takes place indoors.

Cost: Members: $15 per terrarium; non-members: $20 per terrarium. Register each person in your party who wishes to create a terrarium so we can be sure to have enough supplies available.

Cancellation Policy: Program proceeds in inclement weather unless hazardous conditions occur. In the event that Sheldrake should cancel a program (or a portion thereof), either a makeup will be scheduled or a refund will be issued. Participant cancellation requires a minimum of one week’s notice (in writing to scheduling@sheldrakecenter.org; be sure to obtain written confirmation of receipt), and a 25% cancellation fee will be charged. No refunds will be issued under other circumstances.
