Fun Fall Programs for Children
Tiny Trekkers (Mommy & Me)
This special program for children ages 3 to 5 creates an opportunity for you and your child to use all your senses while exploring, discovering and having fun in the natural world. Trail walks, stories, art projects and games are led by Naturalist Bea Weinberger, who creates a magical learning experience. Classes meet in the potting shed at 687 Weaver Street in Larchmont. 8 sessions. Ages 3 to 5.

Young Explorers (Pre-K Drop-Off)
Add fun discoveries to your pre-schooler’s day with hands-on explorations of amazing fall happenings in the natural world. Become nature detectives with Naturalist Cindy Polera and find out how plants and animals get ready for the winter. Search for clues under logs and leaves. (Who’s awake and who’s asleep? How do they stay warm and find food?) Find winter insects, egg cases, tracks and more. Walks, experiments, stories, crafts and games are designed to bring out the natural curiosity in your pre-schooler. This program will meet in the Sheldrake main building in the downstairs classroom. Snack provided. 10 sessions. Ages 4 to 5.

Nature Detectives (After-school Nature Club)
An introduction to the wonders of Sheldrake through experiments, hikes, art, “eco-dramas,” live creatures and other exciting environmental activities with Cindy Polera. This program will meet in the Sheldrake main building in the downstairs classroom. Snack provided. 12 sessions for Tuesday, 10 sessions for Wednesday, 11 sessions for Thursday.

Vacation Clubs
Give the children something to look forward to on their days off! Register them now for our vacation clubs with Cindy Polera which will titillate them with the wonders of our natural world.

Cost: $39 members, $45 non-members per holiday
